Kassioru Puhkemaja

Kassioru Holiday Home is a family-run company situated in a nature reserve on the banks of the Ahja River in the Kiidjärve-Taevaskoja recreational area. The Ahja River is one of the most highly frequented hiking destinations in Estonia, giving you the chance to admire sandstone outcrops, spot aquatic birds (including the rare kingfisher) and simply enjoy the great outdoors.
To this end we offer canoes, kayaks, rowboats and SUP boards for rent. Our holiday home is located near a State Forest Management Centre (RMK) information point and Kiidjärve Water Mill, which was built in 1914.
The area includes RMK hiking and cycling trails.
The ancient Estonian sacred sites of Suur Taevaskoda and Väike Taevaskoda, plus Valgesoo bog (which features a National Geographic Yellow Window and a boardwalk), are just a few kilometres away.
We can accommodate up to 20 caravans and the site offers access to electricity, bathroom facilities and a waste disposal point. Accommodation is provided in a 150-year-old log building and camping huts, and guests have the opportunity to use our sauna.
The nearest towns are Põlva and Ahja (10 km). Estonia’s second-largest city, Tartu, is 40 km away and offers a wide range of leisure opportunities. Upon request, guests can make use of our visitor’s apartment in the Old Town in Tartu.
Kassioru is a perfect holiday destination for those who want to explore and appreciate a pristine natural environment, which are becoming increasingly hard to find in today’s world.

We hope to see you soon!
